Hey there, I’m Eva!
You’re in the right place — even if part of you isn’t sure yet.
Therapy for Women Who Are Ready to Stop Performing “Fine”
If Taylor Swift is playing in your mind, you're my person!
Here's a collection of entertaining facts about me:
Forever playing hide-and-seek with my phone - it has the best hiding places!
I’m an introvert who knows how loud the mind can get.
I'm from Maine and am a very proud Mainer!
I notice patterns everywhere — in relationships, in behavior, in the small things.
I love a good book…bring on the fantasy
Proud dog mom to Maisy.
“I know what it’s like to sit on the couch, across from somebody you don’t know, and dig deep and do the work.”
Eva Light, LCSW
You might be here because you’re exhausted from holding everything together.
Maybe you’re the dependable one. The over thinker. The woman who can explain everyone else’s behavior with stunning emotional accuracy — but still feels stuck in the same patterns.
Therapy with me is warm, honest, and collaborative. We can laugh, swear when needed, slow things down, and also get to the deeper work underneath the coping skills.
My goal is not to “fix” you. My goal is to help you understand yourself with more compassion, heal what has been heavy, and make choices that actually feel like yours.
I may be the therapist for you if…
You are:
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained
Healing from trauma, childhood wounds, or complicated family dynamics
Struggling with people-pleasing, perfectionism, or guilt
Working to find your story
Learning how to set boundaries without spiraling afterward
Love movie references
Feeling disconnected from yourself, your body, or your voice
Sending you so much grace right now…
My Style as a therapist:
Working with you to find the best way to navigate therapy
Meeting you with radical acceptance
Cutting through the bullshit and getting down to the facts
Working with you to find your story
And encouraging you to be your most authentic self
You can expect movie references in sessions
I do my best to make the counseling space as warm and welcoming as I can
Oh! And I am EMDR Certified. What does this mean?
It means I can help you heal from any hard experiences or traumas you have been through with a safe and deeply effective method, called EMDR.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy where you re-feel through hard experiences, painful memories, and traumas of any kind (past or present). As you do this, you will listen to tones that go back and forth in each ear, tap on your shoulders back and forth, or watch an object move left and right so your eyes are moving back and forth.
With any of these types of bilateral stimulation to your senses (hearing, sight, or touch) while you re-feel through those hard memories - you will heal.
Correctly, and deeply.
For what can feel like the first time ever. This method gets to the root of what holds you back, and keeps you feeling heavy, stuck, and not your best self.
This method is safe, profoundly effective, and can be done in-person or virtually. Set up a consult and we can chat more about it!
Reading this may cause daydreaming - see you on the flip side!

How does learning how to be kinder to yourself sound?
I work to teach clients how to be kinder to themselves, while always striving to listen to what they say and help them find their voice.
