Adult ADHD Assessments

Clarity for the Way
Your Mind Actually Works

If focus, organization, time management, or feeling constantly overwhelmed have been a daily struggle, a comprehensive evaluation can help you understand why — and what to do about it. Our assessments combine the DIVA-5, the ASRS, and an in-depth clinical interview for a thorough, personalized picture of how you think and function.

You're Not Alone

Does This Sound Familiar?

ADHD in adults often looks nothing like the stereotype. If a few of these feel close to home, an evaluation can help you finally understand why — and what to do about it.

You've missed deadlines or shown up late not because you didn't care, but because time seems to move differently for you than for everyone else.

You can focus for hours on something that interests you, then can't sit still for five minutes on something that doesn't.

Your space, your inbox, your to-do list — you know exactly how you'd organize it if you could just get started.

You've built systems and workarounds your whole life just to keep up, and you're exhausted from making it look easy.

A simple task with too many steps can feel paralyzing, even when you know exactly what needs to happen.

You've wondered if this is just who you are, or if there's actually a reason things have always felt harder than they should.

If a few of these felt close to home, it might be time to find out.

What We Look At

Adult ADHD Shows Up in Layers

ADHD in adulthood rarely looks like a single symptom. It's usually a mix of patterns that have been there for years, often mistaken for a personality trait or a personal failing. Here's a closer look at each one.

01 — Time Blindness

When time doesn't feel like something you can track

Fifteen minutes and an hour can feel identical until a deadline is suddenly right on top of you. This isn't a discipline problem — it's a difference in how the ADHD brain senses time passing. An assessment helps clarify whether this pattern is part of a larger picture, and what kind of support actually fits it.

Time Perception Deadlines Planning
02 — Executive Dysfunction

Knowing what to do and still not doing it

You can see the whole task clearly in your head, yet starting it — or organizing the steps to finish it — feels like pushing against something invisible. This gap between intention and action is one of the clearest fingerprints of ADHD, and it's exactly what a thorough evaluation is built to identify.

Task Initiation Organization Follow-Through
03 — Emotional Dysregulation

Feelings that arrive faster and bigger than expected

A minor comment can sting for hours, or frustration can spike out of proportion to what triggered it. Adult ADHD often carries an emotional layer that gets missed entirely, mistaken for anxiety, mood issues, or just being "too sensitive." Naming it accurately is the first step toward it making sense.

Rejection Sensitivity Mood Overwhelm
04 — Masking & Burnout

The exhaustion of holding it together for years

Many adults build an entire system of workarounds — extra reminders, over-preparing, staying quiet about the struggle — just to keep pace with everyone else. It works, until it doesn't. An assessment gives language to what's been happening underneath, and a real starting point for something more sustainable.

When the Workarounds Stop Working

You've likely found ways to manage on your own for years, extra reminders, over-preparing, staying up late to make up for lost time. If those workarounds are starting to take more out of you than they give back, an assessment can offer clarity instead of another system to maintain.

Common reasons adults reach out for an assessment:

  • Consistently missing deadlines or losing track of time
  • Starting tasks you can't seem to finish
  • Feeling scattered no matter how many systems you try
  • Emotional reactions that feel bigger than the moment calls for
  • Exhausted from constantly trying to keep pace with everyone else
