Sitting on a couch across from a stranger can be one of the bravest, most vulnerable things a person ever has to do.
Ever come to a new place and have no idea where to start? Our founder, Eva Light, was in that same spot two years ago. “I moved to a new city and had no idea what I wanted to do in life, or who the fuck I even was.” Learn more about Eva and the Guiding Kindness Team!
Meet Our Team
Eva Light, LCSW
I get it – I'm not a flawless professional with a handbook. My style as a therapist includes radical acceptance, cutting through the bullshit, and encouraging you to be your most authentic self.
Kirstie Juenger, LPC
Your unique journey deserves sincere support. In our sessions, expect a mix of humor, patience, and genuine understanding for open and honest discussions.
Katherine Hayden, LSW
We are on the journey of healing together. In our sessions expect laughter, healing, and togetherness. If you want someone to challenge you, tell you how to adjust and pivot, I’m your person!
Faith Higgins, LAPC, ATR-P
I’ll always show up as a human first -- for you to feel comfortable being you, I need to be authentically me, too. Our sessions will navigate your big life changes and transitions.
Maisy, Therapy Pup
Maisy is tiny, hypoallergenic, and sweeter than your favorite pie! A goofball with a professional side (all that training), Maisy offers an instant dose of comfort and joy to those who want it.
Our Values
Wellbeing
During therapy, we will always consider what is best for you and focus on how to meet you where you are presently.
Community
Having a strong support network is key to having a healthier mind. In the first few sessions, we work with you to identify your community and build one if needed.
Authenticity
Being authentically yourself is key to living a meaningful life. In session with us we explore taking off the mask and finding out what it means to live authentically.
Connection
Forming a deep and meaningful connection is key to being successful in therapy. During the beginning stages of therapy, we work with you to earn your trust and be authentically human together.
What makes Guiding Kindness Therapy different?
Our therapists bring warmth, humor, and clinical depth without hiding behind jargon. We believe healing is collaborative, trauma-informed, and real. You do not need to explain why it is hard. We already understand the layers many clients carry.
